Our UEBA platform has received quite a bit of recognition in 2018. We won five UEBA/UBA-related awards in the past seven months. Most recently, we were recognized in analyst firm Gartner’s April 2018 Market Guide for User and Entity Behavior Analytics, a report noting that “security and risk management leaders considering UEBA will find that the market has fragmented, with a few pure-play vendors and a wide set of traditional security products that embed core UEBA technologies and features to benefit from advanced analytics capabilities.”

On page 19, Gartner recognizes Risk Fabric® as one of eight stand-alone, pure-play UEBA solutions, and lists three of the platform’s primary domains and use cases - incident prioritization, data exfiltration and compromised insider and advanced threat. Bay Dynamics is one of only two vendors listed whose use case includes incident prioritization. Gartner chose to list only three use cases for all vendor solutions. Two additional main use cases for Risk Fabric that are not included in the report are malicious insiders, and integrated cyber breach analytics and risk mitigation.

The report states, “By 2022, core UEBA techniques and technologies will be embedded in 80% of threat detection and incident prioritization solutions.” That’s a major factor in our partnership with Symantec. Symantec Information Centric Analytics’ deep integrations with data loss protection, endpoint protection, encryption, tagging and other point solutions, in addition to the platform’s UEBA capabilities, enable organizations to leverage their Symantec and other vendor cyber tools by bringing together the information coming from them and delivering a prioritized list of threats that need immediate action.
